Beam Module
The Beam Module is the core building block of the Beam System—Goodesign’s modular furniture platform developed around one repeatable architectural element.
Formed from a 1/4-inch aluminum sheet, each module is precision cut and bent twice at 90 degrees to create a structural profile that is minimal, durable, and highly efficient. What appears simple is the result of years of refinement, with every dimension carefully considered to maximize strength, proportion, stackability, and endless expansion.
Final module dimensions:
- 19" high
- 9.25" wide
- 15" deep
Used individually, the Beam Module functions as a side table, pedestal, display stand, or compact storage object. Repeated and combined, it becomes the foundation for the wider Beam family—stools, consoles, desks, shelving, cabinets, and future custom forms.
Its measured geometry allows the system to scale cleanly while maintaining a consistent visual language across every size. This logic creates furniture that can grow from a single unit into larger compositions without losing simplicity.
Constructed with stainless steel hardware and threaded rubber feet, the Beam Module balances industrial utility with refined proportion. It is both a finished object and the starting point for something larger.
Finishes
The Beam System is offered in:
- Raw Brushed Aluminum – unfinished brushed aluminum with a direct material character. Because it is uncoated, it may be more prone to scratches, marks, and wear over time.
- Clear Anodized Aluminum – added surface protection while preserving the natural aluminum appearance.
- Black Anodized Aluminum – a darker architectural finish with increased durability.
Aluminum is a real industrial material, and natural variations, light marks, or minor imperfections can occur. We see these details as part of the honesty and character of the piece.
